Public Speaking
Kiki's life at a lectern
In 1999, Kiki joined her school's policy debate team and extemporaneous speaking team. By 2001, she and her debate partner were offered scholarships to Stanford's National Forensic Institute and qualifying for Nationals and The Tournament of Champions. She went on to do various forms of debate, mock trial, and Model United Nations in college, taking home many speaking awards.
In 2014, she became a head high school speech and debate coach, reviving a once dead policy debate team and qualifying them to nationals by 2017. She also qualified students to nationals in Extemporaneous Speaking and World Schools Debate in 2015, 2016, and 2017.
In 2015, she started teaching public speaking course and coaching a business ethics case debate team at the University of Colorado Denver. The ethics team debuted at 3rd place in their first ever competition.
In 2017, she went on to teach public speaking and coach the University of Texas at Austin's policy debate team -- who won their first national championship in over 20 years in 2021.
Kiki frequently presents complex research in concise ways at regional and national conferences and her teaching experience keeps her presentation skills sharp.
She has also coached private clients in public speaking and debate skills.
